Donation Requests

Our Downtown Gardnerville Hotel is very eager to support our communities; those in which we have a business and those who support the economic viability by way of tourism to our communities. In order to evaluate our ability to make a donation to your organization, we need the following information and criteria to be met:

Criteria*:

  1. Donation requests to be received via e-mail to: admin@historianinn.com
    • With “Donation Request” in the subject line
    • A Minimum of 90 days’ advance notice is required for consideration
  2. The name of the organization
  3. Tell us who do you benefit?
    • A (1) One paragraph description of the nature of your organizations focus
    • The organization’s website and/or electronic media addresses
    • Donations must benefit non-profit organizations with tax exemption under Section 501c(3) or (6) of the IRS Code which are considered charitable, civic, educational, recreational and/or receive the majority of their support through outside funding. Requesting entities must conduct activities in a community, or within an adjacent community, in which Cle Hospitality does or draws business
  4. If approved, specific logo, verbiage and branding use for us must be followed.

*All requests will be evaluated on an individual basis. The Historian Inn reserves the right to deny any and all requests by any and all parties regardless of whether they meet or do not meet the criteria noted herein. The Historian Inn also reserves the right to provide in-kind contributions in lieu of cash requests for organizations that meet the criteria as set forth in this policy.

What we need:

  1. When, where and how the donation will be given (silent auction, raffle, etc.).
  2. The specific advertising and outreach i.e.:
    • Collateral and publications our company / entities will be represented in
      • Handouts – to and how many?
      • Event Banners?
      • Mailings?
      • Print Ads? Etc.
  • The method and number of distribution to what area/demographic, number of placements and printing deadlines of this advertising~ samples are helpful
  • Do you have a website we can be entered on as a Partner – for a long-term relationship?
  • Anything else you feel may be pertinent to our decision.

Giveback Mondays

Look for our kick-off to this extraordinary Gratitude Program every 1st Monday of the month! We will be taking your nominations for a charity! If your charity wins…in addition to receiving “Make a Difference Mondays” profits from The Historian Inn for a year, we are offering a Grand Prize for the chosen organization and nominator which will be The Exclusive Use of the hotel for two nights any dates; 5 ROOMS! The rooms can be awarded to friends, staff or volunteers, or can be auctioned to supporters with all additional income donated.

Local Outreach & Community Involvement

As a business, we understand that our community is like our family. We believe it is important to be engaged and build relationships and partnerships to benefit the whole, as well as offer support to each other. We also encourage our employees to volunteer when they can for community needs and projects they are interested in. A sampling of our areas of engagement and impact are:

  • Donating rooms and space for community fund-raisers and nonprofit needs
  • We buy local when we can for products and services
  • We partner with community businesses and entities to enhance experiences for our community members and guests
  • We are part of the Main Street Gardnerville program and participate in their service programs
